1840 an entire wrapper addressed to Wymondham, Norfolk, bearing a 1d black issue from plate 9 lettered G.E. which has been placed on the back of the wrapper acting as a seal, which is tied by the jet black Maltese cross of Attleborough, Norfolk, with alongside a strike of the Penny Post handstamp. The wrapper is dated on reverse for MR 25 1841. A rare and very unusual use of a 1d black issue.
