1859 an envelope bearing an 1857 1d rose-red issue addressed to Edinburgh being tied by a superb and complete strike of the type V "Ardclach" Nairnshire, Scots Local handstamp in black ink being dated on reverse by the parent office of Forres for JY 14 1859.
