1840 1d Mulready wrapper with advetisement for "Edinburgh Envelope Advertiser" addressed to London from Stonehaven being cancelled by the double-lined distinctive Maltese cross in red ink, dated on reverse for 19 Fe 1841. Only two examples bearing the Stonehaven double-lined Maltese cross are known to exist on the Mulready postal stationery and this example is the latest recorded in red ink before the change over to black, and a different consistency of ink in late February 1841.
