1840 an entire wrapper bearing a 1d black issue from plate 6 lettered T.C. (which has been placed on the cover in two halves), addressed to Nairn and tied by the "Kingussie" straight line handstamp in black ink and further cancelled by a blotchy orange-red Maltese cross. The wrapper is dated inside for 7th August 1840 without being dated by the post office. A rare and possibly unique double cancellation cover from this remote village. Bov#277
