1858 a wrapper bearing an 1857 1d rose-red issue addressed to Paisley, being tied by the "234" numeral handstamp of Lochmaddy in black ink and bearing on reverse the boxed type VIII "Tighyarry" Isle of North Uist, Scots Local namestamp in oily blue/black ink, and dated by the parent office of Lochmaddy also on reverse for MY 12 1858. No namestamps from North Uist have been recorded cancelling adhesive issues. A rare and most attractive cover. Bov#793
