1844 an entire wrapper bearing an 1841 1d red-brown issue addressed to Tongue, Sutherland, from Thurso, being tied by a superb strike of the large serifed "Tongue" circular handstamp in black ink with a further strike on reverse, being date-lined inside for June 20th 1844.
