1842 entire wrapper bearing an 1841 1d red-brown lettered R.A. addressed to London being tied by a superb strike of the distinctive “scored” Maltese cross of Wotton-under-Edge in black ink and dated on reverse for JU 28 1842, this being the latest date recorded for this special cancellation. A very rare and most attractive cover.
