1883 an envelope bearing two 1880 2d pale rose issues together with a 6d on 6d purple issue with an orange-brown 1/- issue from plate 13, paying the 1/10d "Registered" rate to British Columbia, each being tied by the Tain "320" duplex dated for NO 29 83. The envelope sent via Glasgow, was found to be seriously damaged at Liverpool where it was repaired and re-sealed with red wax and sent on to Canada, being put into the rail system in Canada at Hamilton on DE 13 83 with a final arrival mark at Victoria for DE 22 83.
