1872 an envelope bearing four examples of the 1864 1d rose-red issue from plate 120 together with an 1872 6d chestnut plate 11, paying the 10d rate to Melbourne, Victoria, each being tied only by the Skibbereen circular datestamp, dated for AU 6 72, contrary to regulations. The reverse of the envelope bears a Melbourne datestamp for SP 20 72. A rare and most attractive cover.
