1843 an envelope bearing an 1841 1d red-brown issue being cancelled by the type 1 "Voe" Scots Local handstamp in black ink, addressed to Hillswick. The cover did not pass through the head office of Lerwick due to its relatively local use. This is the only known example of this local mark on cover. Bov#779
