1901 German Fishery Vessel S.M.S. Zieten's "Marine/Schiffspost/No73" datstamp on a 2pf postal stationery postcard, (with message headed "Kirkwall, Orkney Insel) with additional 3pf adhesive, both being cancelled by a superb "Kais Deutsche/Marine/Schiffspost No 73" c.d.s. of the German Steamer "Zieten" beingsent back to Germany. This is the only recorded cover from a German Fishery Vessel in the Orkneys. Bov#409
